Old Souls in Young Bodies: Our Children and Reincarnation by Dr. Catherine Gallanti, MS.
There is a lot missing in our current psychological models, as we address only few levels of being. Mainstream psychology currently believes that we live only one life and that the body is all there is. It also believes that our psychological make up is inherited and that the events of childhood are the most influential in shaping the psyche. However, as much as I agree that genes and upbringing are fundamental in shaping our children, I also believe that this model is incomplete. An important piece of the puzzle is missing: the understanding of reincarnation and the effect that past lives have on our children. Not to mention the issues that come from being a Soul of very high light incarnated into such a dense world. Plus the multidimensional issues that some of the so called “indigo children” face as they try to come to terms with life on planet Earth. Our children, and especially the ones born from the mid 80’s onwards, are far more complex and sophisticated beings than meets the eye. And, as such, the issues that they face are often not tackled very well with the techniques of modern psychology alone.
I Have a Daughter in China by Beth Nonte Russell
I have a daughter in China. She is waiting for me there, so far away, in an orphanage in a town on the coast of the South China Sea. We will travel there in two weeks, my husband and I and our daughter, and we will bundle her up and bring her home; for where she is now is surely not her home. Something strange has happened in the land of her birth. It seems that somehow, for reasons both easy to explain (the government’s “one child” policy; cultural preference for males; lack of a viable social security system) and difficult to accept, she is unwanted there. What is wanted is a boy, and she is not that. She is not unwanted for who she is, for no one yet knows the person she will become. She is unwanted for what she cannot do for someone else: for her parent’s status or comfort; for that ancient dragon “tradition” which holds sway in this land of over a billion souls and dictates that women are inferior, and therefore, expendable.
Making It Safe: Parenting the Light of the New Earth Part II by Dr. Blair Barone
From the birds to the bees to the flowers and the trees, everything on the planet has a body. That's because a physical form is necessary to anchoring the divine light on this dimension. And with the new children, and the vibrational intensity of their light, the integrity of their form has never been more critical than now. Since the crystalline energy reflects back that which is not in harmony with their highest vibration, the body, too, must be consistent with the light it will hold. Because crystal energy is so intense, it is critical that the physical body be keep in a healthy state in order that it can maintain and ground the intensity of this energy. The growing epidemic of autism and related disorders in our society I believe is due to a “malfunctioning” of this physical form. That is, the physical body is unable to ground and maintain the high vibrational intensity of the new children's light. When the crystalline light is not able to fully ground within a physical form, then the light fragments across dimensions, which accounts for the “disconnected” presentation of these children on this dimension.
Contacting the Truth Fairies: Teaching Children to Use a Pendulum by Monte Farber and Amy Zerner
Dowsing is most commonly known as a tool for finding water. You may have seen it done on television, or in the movies. You may think it’s a quaint, superstitious practice from the past, but if you ask around, you will find that many communities have a water dowser or "diviner" who is called upon when a new well is being dug or drilled. Dowsing is also used in the search for oil, minerals and ore deposits, and in the practice of holistic healing for guidance in diagnosis and treatment. There is a long tradition of dowsers helping to find missing objects such as pets and jewelry – something that we have done quite a few times for friends – and even missing people and lost archeological sites. Many utility companies use dowsing when searching for buried pipes and cables, and military uses of dowsing include the search for booby traps, mines and unexploded bombs. Dowsing is an intuitive discipline. It requires us to remain both alert rationally and open intuitively. It’s also a unique and important tool for spiritual growth and the development of our mind/body connection. When the events of our life have us confused and we’re unsure as to what to do, we can consult the pendulum.
HeartFire: Young Adult Coming Out by Maria Yraceburu
I am Quero Apache. I was born of a tradition where children are valued as the wealth of a community. I am a member of a growing community of heart - an extended family, if you will. This year as the number of families with children has grown, the Elders have celebrated and smiled. The Vision of Growing Peace is alive. And I am blessed with the ability to play with Five Generations in any given moment. As I ponder this phenomenon in my life, I see the babies and those like my oldest granddaughter, Marianna, the children transitioning into young adulthood. The pride that swells inside me, to know our family, and community will support them through traditional ways, humbles this simple storyteller. The number of young ones that will participate in the rites of passage seems to grow daily. This brings back memories. I had my own Na ii ees when I was twelve. This ritual dates back to the beginning of time and is part of our family’s oral teaching.
What’s Ahead for the Planet Earth? by Daniel Jacob
As we continue to move forward, during this “Year of the Big Changes,” people keep asking that inevitable question: “What’s going to happen down the line? How is this all going to come together?” I mean, it’s only human to ask these questions, right? What kind of world are these marvelously gifted Children of the New Earth hoping to create?

Feng Shui: Cleaning House, Creating A New Home by Pam Saari
Physical clutter, emotional clutter and mental clutter are all interconnected. If your mind is overstuffed then your work and living spaces are likely to be blocked. If your heart is cluttered you will find it difficult to focus your mind. If your home is cluttered it will be more difficult to organize your thoughts and feel at ease. Cleansing clutter symbolically removes things that have been weighing you down, and releases 3D stickiness.
Meditation and the New Kids: The River by Jeannine Proulx
Does your child refuse to sit still? Does he or she seem to want and need to be constantly entertained to the point where you often find yourself turning on the TV simply in order to gain some quiet time for your self? You are not alone. In this new age of the techno-kid generation, children's brains are moving at a faster and faster pace, ready to absorb more information than our adult brains can fathom. Even as it feeds them so much information, however, today's technology is also robbing them of opportunities to participate, thereby leaving them useless in their own lives. Guided meditations are a wonderful way to calm the minds of these very high maintenance children. It offers them a story form that keeps them interested and aware, while allowing them the freedom to create their own experiences and stories.

Evolved Parenting Column 101: The Art of Listening by Tracey Thibodeau Serebin
Kids know when adults are paying attention to them and when they are not. Half-hearted listening gets picked up by kids automatically and causes them to feel as if what they are saying doesn’t matter. As a parent you have to be present in the moment. Give them your attention and your time. Those are the most important gifts you can share with your children, and they often are the hardest. When you are really listening, you can pick up on what is going on with your child, because sometimes it is not what your kids are saying, but how they are saying it, or what they are trying “not to say,” that is important. When you are only partially paying attention, you may miss something valuable that your child is trying to communicate to you! And when you miss it, in most cases that chance is lost forever.
Keeping Our Kids off Drugs by Skye Thomas
Studies have shown that many of us are predisposed to addiction. Sometimes it shows up as a family problem with alcoholism, cigarettes, overeating or as actual illegal drug usage. Whether a family has challenges with one of these addictions or a combination of them isn’t really the point of this article. If your family history shows a problem in one of these areas, then your teenagers have a good chance of turning out the same. Even if you are sober but your parents have a history of alcoholism, your child will most likely carry the genetics of such a tendency. What can you do to help your teens stay sober, especially during the party years between fifteen and twenty-five.

Using Visual-Spatial Strengths to Memorize New Material by Alexandra Shires Golon
I talk to a lot of teachers about how they can best reach the visual-spatial learners in their classes, those who think in images and see the whole picture, not in words or step-by-step. Many of these teachers tell me that they try to incorporate visual tricks so their students can master the material that must be memorized. But, there are things you can do, as a parent, to help your visual-spatial student make learning permanent, as well. Here are some examples.
Why Am I Doing This? – A Tribute to Cooperative Preschool Parents by Lois Todd
I’m sure you’ve heard the caveat: “I’ve never seen an epitaph that reads, “I wish I had spent more time at the office”. Sad to say, there is another version of that which goes… “ I wish I had spent more time with my preschool children” which is all too often heard from parents who wake up to the fact that the short period of time before 1st grade contains some of the most eventful and endearing milestones of their children’s lives.

KidzKeyz: An Angel Garden Key by Laura Scott
Seems everything I pick up lately emphasizes the need for us, not just our kids, to reconnect to nature. National Wildlife’s February/March magazine had an article entitled, “Take Two Hikes And Call Me In The Morning” by Beth Baker. The subtitle explains the article, “Scientists are discovering that our species’ love of plants, animals and wilderness- possibly hardwired during the course of evolution- has positive effects on human health.” The article goes on to explain that hospitals are incorporating “healing gardens” in their plans, and “wilderness therapy” is being offered to patients as part of their therapy.
How do Single Parents Homeschool? by Debbie Rose
As homeschoolers, we grapple with all the same parenting and familial issues as go-to-school families. The differences in some cases are the finances, the logistics, and perhaps more so, the emotional day-to-day stuff. Although some homeschoolers hire private tutors, we are usually with our children much more than traditional families whose children attend school. That can get a bit intense at times, and that’s where the patience kicks in! As with any other decision reached within a family, the decision to homeschool can have an upside and a downside. And of course, the biggest decision for a lot of us in the beginning was how to actually practice homeschooling within our families? That can feel quite intimidating. It did to me.

Signs and Wonders by Daniel Jacob
I made mention in my last article about beginning a discussion on special abilities and powers that are now being manifested in the lives of our Children of the New Earth. It is timely for us to look at this issue, because humankind is now on the verge of a worldwide awakening to the presence of these kids, which will be greatly energized by the display of the gifts they bring to help us through these difficult years that lie ahead for Planet Earth.
An Energetic Perspective of Autism by Susan Miller M.Ed.C.C.C.
What do children diagnosed with Autism look like from an energetic perspective? How does that energy translate into behavioral characteristics, what are some of the gifts they bring and how can we begin to bridge the gap between our worlds and theirs? As a brief history, information obtained through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) stated that for every two children registered as Autistic in 1992-1993, there where almost eleven by 1999-2000. Why the influx? From an energetic perspective, the story begins in 1995.
Krishna - the Quintessential Indigo by Meenakshi Suri
We can have different levels of belief about Krishna. He can be seen as a god; an incarnation of Vishnu – the creator and preserver of the universe; or a legendary child in a time long ago in a village in India; as king of a magical kingdom in India; or as a mythical being. Whatever the level of belief and acceptance, there is a reality in the pervasiveness of the stories, in the persistence with which they have been handed down. There are important lessons in the story of Krishna for those who work with today’s children.

Quantum Bio-cosmology - The Science of Auras and Chakras: Part 1 The Foundations of QBC by Dr. Manjir Samanta-Laughton MBBS
In this series of two articles I shall put forward a new science of auras and chakras that incorporates principles of quantum theory, relativity and cosmology and relates them to biology. Hence the title: Quantum Bio-cosmology (QBC). Through this process we are able to gain an insight into how all matter is created, including biological matter. We shall gain insights into the role of chakras, auras and meridians from a scientific perspective thus relieving some of the fear about these philosophies. With a scientific explanation for these phenomena, the barriers to integration of complementary and alternative therapies (CAM) may be eased.

Alternative Solutions for Ear Infections by Shiroko Sokitch, MD and Jane Sheppard
In Childhood Ear Infections, Dr. Michael A. Schmidt presents over 16 scientific studies that show that many cases of chronic ear infections are due to food or airborne allergies or hypersensitivity reactions. Allergies can cause significant pressure changes within the middle ear, as well as obstruction of the Eustachian tube. The most common allergens implicated in ear infection are cow’s milk and dairy products, wheat, eggs, chocolate, citrus, corn, soy, peanuts or other nuts, shellfish, sugar, and yeast. Dairy is the number one contributor to childhood ear problems. Proper allergy management, such as elimination and rotation diets, can produce dramatic recovery in allergic children with chronic ear infections.

Helping Teens Rediscover Enthusiasm and Gratitude - Excerpted from For Goodness Sake: Supporting Children & Teens in Discovering Life’s Highest Values by Michael Nitai Deranja
Have you ever watched helplessly as the cheerful, enthusiastic children in your life slowly metamorphosed into alienated, lethargic teens? Here’s one story that offers hope for reversing the tide. Our small, private elementary school had decided to extend its range to include the junior high and high school years. We’d had good success with younger children, so adding a few more classes should be relatively easy, right? After all, these were mostly the same children we’d been working with; they were just a few years older. Thus we blithely launched into the uncharted (for us) waters of serving adolescents. It didn’t take long to start bumping into some formidable obstacles.
Nurturing Children’s Natural Love of Learning - Excerpted from The Natural Child: Parenting from the Heart by Jan Hunt, M.Sc.
Research shows that children who are good at fantasizing are better learners and cope better with disappointment than those who have lost this ability. But fantasy requires time, and time is the most endangered commodity in our lives. Fully-scheduled school hours and extracurricular activities leave little time for children to dream, to think, to invent solutions to problems, to cope with stressful experiences, and simply to fulfill the universal need for solitude and privacy. While infants and toddlers teach us many principles of learning, schools have adopted quite different principles. The structure of school (required attendance, school-selected topics and books, and constant checking of the child’s progress) assumes that children are not natural learners, but must be compelled to learn through the efforts of others. Natural learners do not need such a structure.

A Healthy Indigo Diet by Laurel Chaisson
Higher-vibrational children are extremely sensitive to their environment. While their surroundings have quite an effect, little distresses them more than an unhealthy diet. While children living in lower vibrations may not be greatly affected by unnatural sugar, synthesized food, or chemicals, highly sensitive Indigo and Crystal children often react by becoming hyperactive, depressed, sick, or even allergic. Crystal children are especially influenced by their eating habits.
