Caron Goode, ED.D., NCC, DAPA & Tara Paterson: Raising Intuitive
Children – The Creatives, the Empaths and the Psychics
Dr.
CARON B. GOODE is a licensed
counselor and psychotherapist who has written 10 books and 300-plus articles,
most recently in parenting and coaching. Her 15-year psychotherapy practice
has served numerous people considered to be intuitives. In 2003, she founded
the Academy for Coaching Parents International, which provides training
and certification for professionals to run parent-coaching businesses. (www.acpi.biz

 TARA
PATERSON is a certified
coach for parents of intuitive who is raising three highly intuitive children
with her husband. She is also a syndicated columnist, parent advisor, and
author of 100-plus parenting and spiritual articles. In 2004, she launched
Moms In Print, a publishing company that assists “mom” authors.
The following year, she created the Mom’s Choice Awards®, which
assists mothers in selecting products and services for their families. She
has appeared on CBS 48 Hours, the Today Show with Katie Couric, CNN with
Anderson Cooper, the Early Show, and she is the spokesperson for the Mom’s
Choice Awards and a spokesparent for the Partnership for a Drug Free America.

WILLIAM
STILLMANis an award-winning writer and the
author of Demystifying the Autistic Experience: A Humanistic Introduction
for Parents, Caregivers and Educators (2002), Empowered Autism Parenting:
Celebrating (and Defending) Your Child's Place in the World (2009), The
Autism Answer Book (2007), The Everything Parent's Guide to Children with
Asperger's Syndrome: The Everything Parent's Guide to Children with Bipolar
Disorder, The Soul of Autism (2008), and his groundbreaking work, Autism
and the God Connection: Redefining the Autistic Experience Through Extraordinary
Accounts of Spiritual Giftedness (2006).
William has a B.S. in Education from Millersville University in Pennsylvania,
and has worked to support people with different ways of being since 1987.
He is a contributor to member of the advisory board of the quarterly publication
The Autism Perspective, William is also a columnist for CHILDREN OF THE
NEW EARTH online magazine. His work has been carried by national news services
Google News, Ask News and Reuters and has been cited as the inspiration
for the 2009 choreography performance, beyond.words, which premiered at

- Dr. Winnie Dunn: Living Sensationally – Understanding Your
Senses
 WINNIE
DUNN, PhD OTR FAOTA is Professor and Chair of the Department
of Occupational Therapy Education at the University of Kansas. She is an
internationally known expert for her studies about sensory processing in
everyday life. She has published more than 100 research articles, book chapters
and books, and has spoken around the world about her work. She is the author/
coauthor of all of the Sensory Profile measures, which capture people’s
responses to sensory events in everyday life; these assessments have been
translated into dozens of languages and are used for both professional practice
and in research programs. She has received the top honors in her field,
including the Award of Merit for outstanding overall contributions, the
Eleanor Clark Slagle Lectureship for outstanding academic contributions,
she is a member of the Academy of Research for the American Occupational
Therapy Foundation and has received the A. Jean Ayres research award. Most
recently she has written a book for the public about her research entitled
Living Sensationally: Understanding Your Senses, which has been featured
in Time magazine, Cosmopolitan magazine, Canadian Public Radio and the London
Times newspaper among others.

What Do You Mean? Strategies for understanding and coping with the literal
minds of those with Autism and Asperger’s
JUDE
WELTON studied Art History
and English at University before training as a child psychologist at Nottingham
University with John and Elizabeth Newson, who were renowned for their pioneering
work in the field of autism. She then forged a successful career as an editor
and freelance writer, writing mainly on the arts until autism touched her
life more closely than she could have expected when her son who is now fifteen
years old was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. Jude has since written

• Learning about autism professionally, and living with autism. The
difference.
• The rationale behind the cards. Children with ASD/AS are literal
thinkers. What this means to the child with AS: taking words at face value,

• How we (NTs) can be mindful about how we use language to help children
with ASD/AS make sense of their world
• Helping children understand when they‘ve been diagnosed with
Autism
Spectrum Disorder or Asperger’s Syndrome
• AS and school - Tips for Teachers, to help them know how best to
alter their assumptions and adapt the way they teach to suit the child with
Asperger's Syndrome and learning to interpret the behavior and body language
of kids with AS
